Developed from the T-55 MBT. In widespread service, over 20,000 built in 10-year production run. Upgraded T-55.  More powerful gun and more dependable engine. The T-62 has an automatic shell ejection system which ejects the shell casings through a port in the rear of the turret.
It can be equipped with a snorkel to ford a depth of 5 meters. Has full
NBC system, fire suppression and detection, night vision equipment
and the ability to generate a smoke screen by injecting diesel fuel 
into the left side exhaust.
