Produced in thousands. Very advanced for its time with thick sloping armor, powerful gun. Durable, mobile and
highly effective. Superb tank. A total of over 40,000 built. The 76.2mm gun was
inadequate against the German Tigers and Panthers. Other deficiencies were 2 man
turret, poor vision for the commander. poor crew layout.
