Captured during Italian Campaign in 1944. One of the best German
Tanks. Superior in firepower and mobility to all Allied tanks.
 Equipped with a powerful engine, sloping armor and a powerful gun. Suspension consists of 8 double interleaved Christie type
 bogie wheels and double torsion bar suspension. The Model A 
followed the Model D in production. It can be identified by a ball mounted machine gun in the hull and a modified commander's cupola. The running gear was strengthened by doubling the number of wheel bolts. Fought at Normandy. Over 2000 were produced from 1943 to 1944.
