This SP AA gun was based on the M24 Chaffee Light Tank chassis. The engine and transmission were moved forward to leave room at the rear of the hull for a rotating shield carrying twin 40mm Bofors AA guns. The mount was power operating and could elevate to 85°. On occasion, it was used effectively as a ground support weapon. Only 285 were built.
